Although bamboo isn’t readily available in the western world, it is an ancient and trusted remedy for parasitic infections in the far East. Many people who suffer from intestinal worms or other parasitic infections from protozoans choose to make a decoction of bamboo leaves and drink this for relief. There are a number of volatile compounds found in bamboo that can quickly kill the intestinal worms and promote their expulsion from the body. While bamboo might not be the easiest thing to find, it’s certainly an effective remedy.
