Hyperthyroidism is a condition characterized by overactivity of the thyroid gland, which therefore produces excess thyroid hormone. Bugleweed is a unique herb that directly impacts the hormone levels in the body, including the thyroid-stimulating hormones. In other words, bugleweed can slow the production of thyroid, which helps people live a more normal life. Furthermore, bugleweed counters some of the other common symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as heart palpitations, weakness and severe headaches. Bugleweed is most commonly consumed in the form of an herbal supplement.
