The papillomavirus manifests in the membranes and the keratinocytes of the skin, so it is often characterized by irritated warts or pustules. Calendula essential oil has long been known to soothe skin conditions and has powerful antiviral properties that can eliminate the papillomavirus from the skin. However, topical applications aren’t very common with calendula; instead, calendula supplements or suppositories are recommended. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of calendula also help speed the healing and recovery process.
