For hundreds of years, castor oil has been used to soothe the stomach and prevent stomach upset; this is primarily done by coating the inside of the gut with the oil, making it difficult for inflammation or irritation to occur. In terms of preventing food allergies, castor oil strengthens the resilience of the stomach, making it more difficult for “foreign” substances to generate an immune response, thus minimizing the symptoms of allergens. Castor oil in small amounts can be mixed with water and drunk each morning to protect your stomach from food allergies all day!
