Enema

by prathamesh gharat last updated -

One of the primary causes of piles is constipation, which can be caused by dehydration in the bowels or compacted stool. An enema of lukewarm water can quickly loosen the stool in the intestines and stimulate more normal peristaltic motion. This will make bowel movements smoother, reducing the strain in those muscles and tissues, thus leading to less inflammation. An enema may not be the most pleasant experience in the world, but neither is suffering through weeks of discomfort when a piles flare-up occurs!
