There are many different ways to counteract the symptoms of diabetes, or prevent the onset of the condition, including the consumption of grapes. The skin of grapes is a rather novel substance, and possesses certain inhibitory effects that can slow the digestion of starches and carbohydrates. That way, rather than a sudden burst of simple sugars into the bloodstream, they will be slowly released and countered more effectively by insulin from the pancreas. Grape skin extract (GSE) isn’t particularly well known, but its effects have been backed up with a number of research studies.
