Although it may be a bit difficult to find, mango bark is a great remedy for sore throats. Mango bark extract has a number of anti-inflammatory compounds that can soothe inflamed tissues and prevent irritation. The extract of mango bark should be applied directly to the throat, and left on overnight. Alternatively, you can dilute mango extract in water and consume it to benefit from all of the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. As the extract is quite potent, it should be diluted in a ratio of at least 10:1 of water to extract.
