All of the varieties of mint (spearmint, peppermint, etc.) have unusual cooling and soothing properties, making them ideal for the treatment of fevers. Mint tea has cooling effects on the body, thus dropping body temperature and reducing the symptoms of fevers. Extracting this excess heat will help our bodies function more efficiently, redistribute energy better, and attack the root of the problem that is causing the fever. Mint can come in the form of body rubs, tea, or poultices that can be applied to the forehead, neck and chest for quick relief from fevers. Protection Status
