It is nearly impossible to cook many meals without the use of oil, but it is important that you choose the right types of oil, such as low-fat options, if you are at high risk of blood clots, or have suffered from them in the past. A low-fat oil like mustard oil works just as well as traditional vegetable oils, but adds a unique flavor to the food, and also doesn’t threaten your heart health. Blood clots can occur or become dangerous in the presence of high levels of cholesterol, which often leads to atherosclerosis. Mustard oil isn’t available everywhere, but the majority of health food stores should have it in stock. Protection Status
