Tea tree oil is used throughout the world due to its rather incredible anti-fungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties. It can be applied, in small quantities, directly to the site of boils and many other skin infections to start the healing process. Boils are often caused by a bacterium called Staphylococcus, and tea tree oil is particularly good at inhibiting the growth and survival of this bacterial species. Furthermore, tea tree oil can promote healing and prevent any other infections from attacking the site should the boil break. Apply tea tree oil in a diluted form 1-2 times per day for fast relief from boils.
