Studies on soy products have increased significantly in recent years, as research has shown that the high content of phytoestrogens can benefit the body in many different ways, particularly for females. Numerous studies have linked these phytoestrogens to higher bone density, and they are found in very high concentrations within soy products, like tofu. Women are also much more susceptible to osteoporosis than men, so switching to tofu as a protein source once or twice a week can be an excellent way to delay of entirely prevent the onset of osteoporosis.
