Turpentine

Although the toxicity of turpentine has caused a discontinuation of use for many home remedies, it remains an effective way to relieve the ringing sounds of tinnitus. Simply mix a small amount of turpentine with a carrier oil, such as almond oil, and then soak a cotton ball in the mixture. Once the cotton ball is soaked through, place the cotton ball in the affected ear. You can leave this in overnight, and should have significantly reduced the symptoms of tinnitus by morning. As always, handle turpentine carefully and keep it away from the eyes and mouth.
