One of the best preventative measures that has been found for carpal tunnel syndrome is a diet rich in Vitamin B6. High levels of this particular B-family vitamin have been negatively correlated with the development of carpal tunnel syndrome, suggesting an important connection. Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, can be found in high concentrations in a number of foods, including rice, tuna, pistachios, sunflower seeds, chicken and dried fruit.
