There are a number of ways to make ginger tea with different ingredients to boost the overall health effects of this stimulating beverage.

Instructions
  1. Peel the ginger root and slice it into 10-12 pieces.
  2. Boil 2 cups of water in a small saucepan or pot.
  3. Add the ginger to the water and allow it to steep for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Strain the liquid into a cup (you can leave 1-2 pieces of ginger in the tea to continue steeping).
  5. Add the juice from the lemon wedges, as well as honey or milk (optional).
  6. Stir thoroughly, serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

Make sure that you drink this tea in moderation, as an excess of it can lead to acid reflux, insomnia, and other health conditions. The recommended consumption of ginger is 4-5 grams per day and not more than that. You can also try brown rice syrup as a sweetener in place of honey for a different and exciting taste!
