I mix my Hibiscus Tea with Apple Pie Chai Rooibos tea for a wonderful apple spice flavor, and I swear by it for lowering my blood pressure and anxiety.

How did it go?

I tried Hibiscus tea aka sobolo at a fair for the first time it cleared up my symptoms of an asthmatic attack I was likely to have on that afternoon. it worked faster than my inhale. I didn't end up with a headache which I usually get after using inhaler. So, I brought a pack of leaves to make at home but today a friend warned me that it causes infertility . I am worried and concerned specially after reading some of the risks listed on the internet as I have already started drinking it though not daily but occasionally .

Since, I am trying to conceive I desperately want to know if I can still use it. May be not daily but occasionally maybe just a cup once or twice a week or when needed will that also make it difficult to conceive? How much Hibiscus tea is safe to consume to avoid its major side effects like expanding veins, infertility and heart diseases. Please advise. Thanks

If You want some serious "fat burner" then try Pu-erh tea aka red tea. Hibiscus is not meant for loosing fat tissue.

Pu-erh is not red tea tho. Pu-erh tea can be only found in South-West of China and should be confused with the cheap Indian red tea.

Yes it cause vitamin C lose. You can use "vacuum brewing" technique to preserve most of vitamin C, as well as enzymes which are also temperature sensitive.

Well, You could also do it by so called "cold brew". It isn't necessary to use vacuum to do this, although normal "cold brew" require at least 12h to brew (even 20h in some cases). Vacuum brewing could be done within 30 minutes to 2-3 hours.

Agua fresca is made from it as well...ask for Jamaica (ha-my-ca).

I am 39 weeks pregnant and have been drinking hibiscus tea for two weeks. I drink several glasses per day, and baby is completely fine.

That's because you had already crossed the period considered as 'unsafe' which is basically the first 3months.
As it is right now, you are almost due and if peradventure, baby decides to arrive now, he/she will be completely fine.
It is not advisable to take it in your 1st trimester.

Green tea is perfect!
But the person has to take it frequently probably up to 5 cups everyday. I'll advise to encourage the process with some exercises for a quicker result.

Green tea doesn't directly cause weight loss though. It can boost metablism. The real fat burner is Pu-erh aha red tea. It can directly stimulate fat tissue and burn it.

I have PKD so is it safe for me to drink as it sounds like it can help me tremendously with all the issues that come with it. I do want to loose weight so can anyone confirm they have.

I drink one liter of hibiscus tea every day, I sometimes replace it with green tea and others teas. I feel good, I never did not have side effects. The hibiscus tea that I drink is prepared a soup spoon of hibiscus flower.
