    I suspect you meant to say ‘high sugar/simple carbohydrate’, not high fat as one of the major causes of diabetes.
    Wrong processed fats, margarine, for example, are deloterious to health, but it is the sugars/’carbohydrates’ that raise blood sugars too quickly. There are but three major foods: proteins, fats and sugars. ‘Carbohydrates’ is a manufactured word used to make high sugar diets, sound more acceptable. The sugars found in vegetables, berries and moderate fruit intake provide quick energy. Processed sugars are to be limited as are over-processed and manipulated fats.
