I have found your article to be very informative. I often use Nutmeg in my soaps and body washes for the same reasons. It has proven to be a hit with my customers. I normally source my nut meg oil and fat from Grenada in the west indies. I also heard that India has a superior grade of nutmeg. Is this true?

Can one take nutmeg oil internally, if so how much, and where can I purchase this product, oil or tablets
Maya Prakash 2009-02-09 09:12:02
Yes, you can, but in small quantities, as there can be negative side effects.

Depending on what you wanted this for, I find the best organic oil to take internally is Hemp Seed Oil.

I have used pure Nutmeg Oil on Fungal Skin Infections with great success. Fungus infections are especially prevalent in wet tropical areas. Just need one or two applications of the oil to painlessly clear up even open sores. More effective than any commercial preparation , and almost free .

From This experience I applied it to HERPES VIRUS infections before and after breaking the surface ,,,, sending it into retreat immediately .

Probably would be effective as a general Antibiotic For any wound or infection ........
