Experiencing muscle aches after a long day at work or a strenuous gym session is very common. You can make your own all-natural muscle rub at home to soothe away those muscle aches and pains. Let’s find out how!

Make Your Own Muscle Rub

This simple coconut oil and peppermint essential oil rub is the best TLC for your aching muscles. Coconut oil is well-known for its skin moisturizing and health properties. And now, a 2019 study published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine confirmed the anti-inflammatory and skin protective benefits of virgin coconut oil in vitro. Peppermint oil, on the other hand, has analgesic properties due to the menthol content in it. Both these ingredients help make an effective homemade rub which is easy to apply. You can apply it two-three times a day but make sure to first test it out on a small area on your body as peppermint oil can cause a burning sensation, which may irritate sensitive skin.
