Brown sugar is a form of sugar primarily composed of sucrose, along with a certain volume of molasses, which adds the brown color. Brown sugar is responsible to make your cookies all soft and chewy. While brown sugar is easily available in the market, making it at home is a piece of cake. Here’s how!
Collect white sugar and molasses and put the two in a blender.
Blend the two thoroughly until the color is consistent throughout.
Pour it in an air-tight container and use immediately.
If you don’t have molasses on hand, you can make brown sugar variations with honey or maple syrup in the same concentrations.
