Ascorbic acid is not natural; it is the synthetic, incomplete, and usually GMO form of Vitamin C.
I will let you look this up further on your own, but Ascorbic acid is basically the empty, incomplete shell of Vit.C, without any of it's natural cofactors that make up what actual Vitamin C is.

Eating a lot of fruit that contains vitamin c. High vitamin C foods include bell peppers, dark leafy greens, kiwifruit, broccoli, berries, citrus fruits, tomatoes, peas, and papayas.
