Our Goal
Consumers regularly search for detailed unbaised information on organic food (and food in general) so that they can make educated decisions while shopping. Farmers, producers and suppliers, on the onther hand, constantly seek best practices prevalent in different parts of the world so that they can improve the quality of their products and efficiency of their production methods. Organic Facts aims at meeting these demands from the buyers and sellers by providing facts on different aspects of organic living, including organic food, organic cosmetics, organic gardening and organic stores.
As on January 31, 2010, Organic Facts gets a traffic of over 2,90,000 visitors per month.
Who we are?
Organic Facts is a private website owned and maintained by the Patil family through a proprietary firm RuralTech Services
Dr. Madhukar Patil, PhD (Chemistry)
Madhukar is an organic farmer in Budhana district, Maharashtra, India. Prior to taking organic farming as a full-time occupation, he has taught chemistry to undergraduate and graduate students for over 30 years in the Institute of Science, Bombay, India and the Institute of Science, Nagpur, India. He also served as the Director of Vidarbha Insititute of Humanities and Sciences, Amravati, India. Madhukar's interest in farming and his knowledge of chemistry has helped him understand the basics of organic farming as well as chemical farming.
Madhukar has successfully completed about 9 research projects funded by the Government of India and has published over 250 research papers in Indian and International Journals. Some important projects carried out by Madhukar include development of waste land fills into green reserves through application of micronutrients.
Mr. Kiran Patil, B.Tech., M.Tech. (Chemical Engineering)
Kiran is working as Senior Manager, Sales at Chaupaati Bazaar Private Limited (www.chaupaati.in). He has completed Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech.) and Masters of Technology (M.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. Kiran has also worked earlier as an analyst at Evalueserve.com Private Limited.
Ms. Nishidha Patil, MCA
Nishidha is managing the business directory of Organic Facts. She has done her masters in Computer Applications from Aurangabad in Maharaashtra. Nishidha also has deep interest in cooking. With her culinary experience, she has written a book on coconut oil recipes that focuses on helping people identify easy ways of consuming coconut oil.
Mr. Aparup Mukherjee
Aparup, an IT professional, is also a freelance writer, illustrator, and cartoonist. He has more than 10 years experience as a professional writer and more than 15 years experience as a professional illustrator & cartoonist. Aparup likes to write on Health, Fitness, Wild Life, Plants, etc. He also likes Writing abstracts, particularly on human psychology. He is natural at illustrating for comic books, children books, super-heroes comics etc. Aparup has contributed numerous articles on Organic Facts.
