Home remedies for acne include tea tree oil, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin E, and garlic, intake of excess of water, fenugreek, mint juice, strawberries, turmeric, garlic, cucumber, sandalwood, egg and regular skin cleaning.
Home remedies for acne are available for patients suffering from this acute skin problem. Usually, the doctors suggest their patients, suffering from acne, to consume lot of water and do exercises, which keep the skin charming and glowing. Basically acne refers to the blackheads, whiteheads, the short pink bumps called papules, which are formed on the skin in form of cysts, as a result of prolonged contact with dust, polluted air, sweat and filthy water. Usually they occur on face, but areas like legs, buttocks, shoulders, chest and back are also not spared by these skin problems. According to the dermatologist at the Acne Research Institute, California, women can experience acnes at 25 or 35 or even older.

- Tea Tree Oil- It is one of the most popular remedy for curing acne problems. This diluted oil is applied on the spots affected by acne. It is a strong belief that this oil consists of terpinen-4-ol, which cures the anti-bacterial activities and thus, tree oil can easily kill the bacteria. It kills the acnes called Propionibacterium and other bacteria, which causes skin-dwelling in acne formation.
- Zinc- Studies have proved zinc to be an effective home remedy for curing pimples or acne. It is always recommended by the doctors to take zinc in a proportionate amount.
- Vitamin A- The tablets of vitamin A are natural and cure the acnes effectively. It promotes a glowing healthy skin.
- Vitamin E- It helps in countering the pimples as it is a natural antioxidant and proves to be beneficial for the skin. The soft greasy gelatin capsules consist of vitamin E apart from glycerin, water and soybean oil.
According to Mayo Clinic, using cleansers and other beauty products is helpful in avoiding acnes. Apart from this, some other home remedies for acne include following significant points:
- Apply the peeled orange mixed with water to the affected pimples area.
- Grated pieces of cucumber can be applied to the acne areas.
- Fresh garlic clove should be rubbed against the acne.
- A person suffering from acne should at least consume one liter of water per day to impart a charming, healthy and glowing skin.
- Fenugreek leaves paste should be applied at night and must be washed in the morning.
- You can apply toothpaste on the acnes to relieve swelling and pain every night for at least a week and experience the changes.
- You can always apply mint juice on the face as it is highly natural and rich in content.
- After eating strawberries, do not throw its leaves, as these can be helpful in curing the pimples on the face.
- Everyday at night you can apply a paste of turmeric mixed with mint juice. You can remove it by washing or cleaning your face with lukewarm water after thirty minutes.
- Drinking cucumber or carrot juice is also beneficial for curing acne.
- Try applying a soaked cotton ball in vinegar to your skin, as it helps in curing pimples and reducing the swelling.
- Even the paste of egg can be helpful in getting rid of acne.
- Make a paste of sandalwood or neem mixed with rosewater and apply to the affected areas of pimples.
Curing acne using home remedies is a long process, so a person needs to be patient while employing all these remedies. But home remedies for curing pimples have no side-effects as these are natural and home-made.
