This breakfast dish is packed with nutrients and is rich in fiber and unsaturated fats. To make it even more healthy, you can use gluten-free bread. How to Make Avocado Toast?

To make avocado toast, one needs to mash the avocados to a fine paste with a fork, and then add cilantro, lime, salt, pepper, and chili flakes to it and guess what, you have the basic avocado spread on toast ready! However, let’s look at in detail.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole wheat/ gluten-free/ muesli bread
  • 1 medium ripe avocado
  • 1 tsp salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp pepper as per taste
  • 1 tsp chili flakes as per taste
  • 1-2 tbsp (vegan)parmesan cheese
  • 2 boiled eggs optional
  • 2 tsp cilantro paste
  • lime as per taste

Instructions

  • To make avocado toast, first, toast the bread in a toaster or oven. If you're someone who doesn't consume wheat, you can opt for gluten-free bread.

  • Take two ripe avocados and completely smash them using a fork. Once done, add cilantro, lime, salt, pepper, and chili flakes to it and mix it properly. Apply it to the bread slices. Top it with parmesan cheese. For a healthier option, you can use vegan parmesan cheese.  

  • You can also add boiled, poached or scrambled eggs, to make it more wholesome.

Notes

To enhance the flavor of the toast, you can rub the bread with garlic. Instead of salt, you can add a dash of crunchy sea salt.
