Home remedies for dyspepsia include usage of fresh fruits like grapes, oranges, pineapples, melons, apples, pomegranate, pears etc in different forms. Lightly cooked vegetables, buttermilk, yoghurt and cottage cheese, garlic and ginger are some of the best remedies to cure dyspepsia. It is nothing but indigestion and gastrointestinal problems. Some of the symptoms of dyspepsia can be nausea, bad breath, vomiting and foul taste in the mouth. In most cases, people suffer from constipation which leads to acidity.

As per the studies, 25% of the population suffers from Dyspepsia in the western countries all the time. It directly affects their quality of living. Dyspepsia is nothing but the difficulty in digestion, according to Clevelandclinic. The main cause of dyspepsia can be over eating, poor eating habits, eating too rapidly. Food not cooked properly can also lead to dyspepsia. The stomach pain is also called the Nonulcer Dyspepsia, according to Mayoclinic.
 
The major problem or cause of dyspepsia can be over eating and acidic food. Fried food as well as spicy food can cause indigestion. Over eating makes the stomach, kidney, liver and bowels hard, thus leading to indigestion. Excessive intake of alcohol and smoking can also be one of the causes. Regular exercising can help keep indigestion away. Habit of eating and drinking together can also cause dyspepsia, so one should have food and after an interval should intake water or any other fluids. Dyspepsia can further lead to duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, pancreatic, inflammatory disease and stomach infiltration.

Meals should be taken at regular intervals, as longer gaps in meals can also cause dyspepsia. The best way to go about controlling or treating dyspepsia is to go on an all-fruit diet. Fruits contain lot of fluids so it helps cure indigestion faster. Make sure you have a well balanced diet to stay away from problems of indigestion.

These home remedies for dyspepsia are very effective and helps reduce the indigestion.

  • Lemon: Lemon juice helps to clear the bacteria, thus improving the digestive system. It also removes harmful substances from the stomach and strengthens appetite. One will feel very relaxed. One can add salt and sugar to taste it better.
  • Carrot: Just chew a carrot which helps increase the saliva and quickens the procedure of digestion by providing necessary minerals and enzymes. One can also make it a habit to have carrot juice every morning as it helps to keep the internal system clean.
  • Fenugreek: Fenugreek leaves can be boiled and or fried in a little amount of butter. It can also help the digestion system improve to a great extent.
  • Butter Milk: It is the best and the simplest remedy for dyspepsia. For better results, one can add black pepper powder or cumin seeds powder to a glass of buttermilk and have at regular intervals. 2-3 times a day is recommended. It calms down the intestine and the digestion system.
  • Aniseed: Usually, eating aniseed in day to day life after every meal is recommended as it is very beneficial in digestion of food. Make sure to use the plain ones, as you can also get the sugar coated ones in the market.
  • Mint: Mint juice is also highly recommended. It goes well if it is added with a spoon of honey and lemon juice.
  • Cumin Seeds: Add two teaspoon of cumin seeds to a glass of water, boil it for 2-3 minutes and have 2 times a day.
  • Yoghurt: A daily intake of yoghurt after or along with your meals helps calm the intestine and prevents indigestion.
  • Pomegranate Juice: Half glass of pomegranate juice with a table spoon of honey twice a day can also help prevent indigestion.

    There are few things which should be taken care of while suffering from dyspepsia:
  • Spices should be completely avoided as it only aggravates the indigestion.
  • Vinegar or add on like pickles must be avoided.
  • Alcohol, smoking or intake of caffeine should be avoided.
  • Clean your ears clearly with a soft cloth or cotton on a regular basis.
  • Fatty substance should be avoided
  • Rich food like potatoes, rice, meats should be completely avoided.
