Amaranth leaves are famed in Eastern traditional medicine for their ability to restore gray hair to its natural color and luster. Although amaranth leaves aren’t the most commonly found herbs in the western world, they are becoming more common as their value is recognized. You can also use amaranth leaf extract and topically apply it directly to the hair for quick results. Traditional use consists of taking the juice squeezed from the amaranth leaves and putting it on the hair and letting it soak in, and then thoroughly rinsing the mixture out in the shower.
