Mastic Gum

Mastic gum is one of the oldest natural remedies for Helicobacter pylori infections, along with many other types of gastrointestinal issues. Made from the resin of the pistachio tree, mastic gum has strong antimicrobial properties that can help to clear out the system and ensure that the gut is clear of dangerous infections. This slightly rare remedy is also very fast-acting, but shouldn’t be used to excess, as it can affect bacterial balance in the gut, and does not always discern between good bacteria and bad bacteria. Mastic gum can be found in most herbalist and health food stores.
