A popular remedy for sinusitis is a neti pot, which is a small device that pours a stream of salinized liquid into the nose to clear out the sinus passages. The saline mixture used in neti pots can thin the mucus levels in your nasal passages and reduce inflammation in the cavities. That being said, it is important not to use neti pots too often, as the nasal passages can be stripped of its lining by the saline solution, which would actually make you more susceptible to sinus infections in the future.
