Sometimes two herbs are better than one, and for the treatment of sunburn, the combination of sandalwood and turmeric has shown its value many times over. Sandalwood helps to clear the skin and speed healing (so the redness disappears), while turmeric is one of the most effective anti-inflammatory substances available. The combination of these two herbs can reduce redness, inflammation and itchiness very quickly, which is why this solution is so popular in Ayurvedic practices.
