Skim Milk

by Meenakshi Nagdeve last updated -

Mixing cold water and milk can be an extremely effective remedy for sunburns. The immediate temperature of the mixture, applied with a cloth, will take the pain out of the sunburn, while the proteins in the milk will help speed the healing process and protect the sunburnt area from any further damage. You can soak the affected area with the 1 to 4 mixture of milk and water for 30 minutes at a time, every 4-6 hours. This should eliminate the inflammation of the sunburn within a day or two.
