For those who have never been near the top of a mountain, or spent a vacation in a city more than 5,000 feet above sea level, altitude sickness may not have any real place in your life. However, for those who have experienced altitude sickness, or regularly expose themselves to those conditions, home remedies and a bit of knowledge goes a long way. The most important thing to do is drink water, as altitude sickness is almost always accompanied by dehydration. Without enough water, your body will continue to struggle to re-balance itself, so boost your intake from 8 to 10 glasses if you’re living in the clouds!
