Hibiscus can be applied topically in various ways to promote hair growth as follows:

  • Make a paste of dried hibiscus flowers and pour it in pre-heated coconut oil. Let the mixture heat for a few minutes, and then let it cool. Apply this to your hair and rinse with shampoo after 30 mins.
  • Mix 1 cup of aloe vera and 10 grams of dried hibiscus until you get a smooth paste. Apply this to your hair and rinse with lukewarm water after 45 mins.

Every weekend I apply hibiscus and yogurt paste to my hair. I mix hibiscus flower and leaves with yogurt until it becomes smooth. Then I apply it to my scalp and hair and leave it for an hour. After that I wash it with mild shampoo. Although the yogurt smell is strong and needs at least three washes to go, it has helped my hair follicles grow stronger. This has also helped reduce my hair fall.
