A decent number of researchers have shown that drinking caffeine while pregnant is not advisable. Since Ceylon tea is rich in caffeine, a moderate amount of Ceylon tea may not affect a pregnant woman adversely, but an excess of it can affect the fetus’ metabolism since it cannot digest caffeine. So ideally it’s not safe to consume caffeine during pregnancy.
