Coconut oil is a comedogenic oil. On a rating scale of zero to five, coconut oil comes between four and five where a zero rating represents no clogging of pores and five indicates higher clogging of pores. Comedogenic oils have a higher tendency to generate acnes. It also depends on the skin type - people with oily skin must use fewer amounts of comedogenic oils while people with drier skin can easily manage it.
