An adequate amount of breast milk supply can be maintained with doses of fenugreek. It contains phytoestrogens (which is similar to the female hormone estrogen) for increasing the flow of breast milk. An added benefit of fenugreek during this time is controlling the premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
