Cassia oil contains a chemical known as coumarin, which worsens liver diseases if taken in large amounts by sensitive people. This oil can also cause allergic skin reactions and skin irritation when applied to the skin. Moreover, cassia oil should be avoided by lactating women breastfeeding children as it decreases milk secretion.
