Blue vervain, being a diuretic, stimulates urination and flushes toxic substances. Being an expectorant, it expels mucus from the respiratory tract. On a molecular level, blue vervain boosts the levels of serotonin and dopamine. Packed with tannins, which are antioxidants, blue vervain shields the tissue from any degrading effects of harmful free radicals.
