The catechin content in green tea is the main reason why it is good for you. Catechins are antioxidants and they prevent cell damage. Green tea also helps in improving blood flow, regulating high blood pressure, and lowering cholesterol levels. The drink also contains an amino acid called L-theanine, which helps in improving brain function.
